Resolutions

My resolution is simple. I don't need to change the world. I just need to write more, get published, and stop watching the baby monkey video.  But it's such a cute video and well, it's a monkey, riding on a pig, holding on tight... and it's ADORABLE.

WARNING song is HIGHLY addictive

There is even a game app and a song for that on itunes!

This Baby Monkey song has been stuck in my head for about 3 weeks now. I dream about that little monkey, riding backwards on the pig, holding on tight. I sing the song in my sleep...sometimes out loud. The first thing I mumbled when I woke up New Years morning was "monkey, on a pig."

Last week we had friends visiting from California. They are "Burners" (people who go to Burning Man). They are known as "The Bunnies" - Bull and Dust Bunny. This was the first time we saw them off the playa - in a normal, non-camping environment. After showing off our running water, electrical outlets, and blow dryer, we settled in for martini's with our neighbor Boris and fellow monkey, Monkey Gurl and well, it was just a matter of time before we got down with some Baby Monkey.

WARNING I can't carry a tune but I can balance on chair arms while semi-inebriated.

Monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey... is it just me, or is everything about the monkey lately?

Did you hear about the monkey that was "missing" from the San Francisco zoo? Banana Sam is his name. Oddly, he went missing around the same time as our West Coast Bunny friends arrived.... with a gift.

Everyone... meet our new pet monkey, "Fanana Wam"

Yes, its true... the world has gone insane, and I have gone insane.
So get on that pig and hold him tight!

Tomorrow, I will write!
Tomorrow, I will write!
Tomorrow, I will write!
Tomorrow, I will write!
Tomorrow, I will write!
Tomorrow, I will write!
Tomorrow, I will write!
Tomorrow, I will write!

So, did you make one?
and if so, how's it going?

  10. First... I'm not even gonna click on it. I don't need anything else stuck in my head.

Second... is that your hat on your head or the monkey's?

And third... damn. Now I'm too distracted by the hat.

    OH! Resolutions...

    1. to check my oil once a month (so the car will stay running)

    2. to take my diabetes medicine (so I will keep running)

    3. to buy Made In The USA whenvere I have the option. (I am hoping to single handedly create jobs and save the economy. What? It could happen)

  13. I've started photoshopping AGAIN... nothing kills my writing more than photoshop. NO, photoshop is not considered a form of exercise - mental or physical. Today... I will stop this baby monkey obsession and write and write!

  15. Too much monkey business ... but, hey, what ever floats your boat. My resolution is to make it through another year ... unless the Mayans where right ... in which case, I'm not going to worry about running up my credit cards.

  16. Hey, hey, you're a monkey! My new year's resolution is to not worry about anything more than two weeks from now. It's not as easy as it sounds, especially for someone who obsesses over things like I do, but I'm trying! Happy New Year to everyone!
